Bio
Dr. Sandra Tanner is the author of thirteen mystery novels, including Sultry, Sunrise Catcher, Silenced by the Promise, Spirited Unraveling, Stone that Crumbled, and Seen Yet Hidden, as well as several short stories.
Her novel, Sultry, won a Literary Titan Book Award, and her short story, Oh, My Dear God!, won 3rd place in the www.writersweekly.com winter 2019 contest.
At an early age, Dr. Tanner developed a love of mystery and suspense stories, inspired by popular detective novels, including those by Agatha Christie. In 2012, she turned that love into a professional writing career, and her first novel, Sundrenched Water, was born.
Born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia, and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, she holds a Ph.D. in Organization and Management (Leadership focus) from Capella University in Minneapolis, MN; a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, MI; and a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from the University of Richmond in Richmond, VA.
She enjoys watching detective and crime investigation television shows and movies, and she looks forward to solving crimes before the investigators and detectives. She considers herself an amateur sleuth and delights in formulating plausible whodunit scenarios.
Dr. Tanner lives with her husband in Virginia. When she is not writing, reading, or attending writing seminars, they travel to see the beauty of the world. In addition to these things, she enjoys spending time with her adult children, investing in the stock market, and being a member of The Wealthy and Wise Investment Group.
